History  

David R. Northup Electrical Contractors, Inc. is a family owned and operated, full service electrical, HVAC and plumbing contractor qualified to handle any size project from start to finish. Family owned and operated means service you can count on from people who care. David R. Northup Electrical Contractors, Inc. employs highly skilled and educated people who take pride in their work. Many of our dedicated employees have worked with us for their entire career. Consider our track record. David R. Northup Electrical Contractors, Inc. has been providing consistent commercial, industrial and residential customer service since 1967!

Corporate operations are conducted from our 16,000 square foot office/warehouse facility in Agawam, Massachusetts. A fleet of over 30 service vehicles including 3 aerial lift trucks, an auger truck and a dump truck enables us to handle a number of projects simultaneously. Our established vendor/supplier relationships, continuing education, ensure superior performance you can trust. In addition to electrical contracting and maintenance, we also contract mechanical services consisting of heating and air conditioning and plumbing. We install traffic signal systems for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as well as for cities and towns throughout Western Massachusetts and Northern Connecticut. Such work includes roadway reconstruction and foundation installation for traffic signal structures.

Our Qualifications  

Northup Electrical is fully bonded and insured and pre-qualified with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Division of Capital Asset Management and the MassDOT. We incorporate a State-approved Apprentice Program and are an Equal Opportunity Employer fully licensed in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine.  All of our employees hold a Department of Public Safety Certificate of Clearance and our safety sensitive employees are OSHA 10-hour certified.
